Hey, people seem to want to know how to use a bookshelf widget...

I'm serious. They do. And so everyone I will put a shelfari bookshelf widget onto my blog (bottom of page) and show you now, step by step, how I did it.

Step one, go to your Shelfari homepage. There is a button on the side that says 'widgets'

Now, one you click 'widgets' you will be directed to this page: 

Don't worry if yours doesn't have all that writing, they're just other widgets I've made for other things.

Click on 'Create New Widget' 

Then you'll get this page:

Then select your website platform: Blogger (me!) Typepad or Wordpress. Then you'll go here:

Follow the prompts on this page until you hit continue. Then you'll be onto 'style your widget' 

After this is done you'll be onto 'Save and Publish'

The page will look like this:

Copy this text code:                                    

Then once you've copied it (just computer copy okay? Don't write it all down) Leave the page.

Go to your blog edit page thingo, (this one is bookstomovieshype.blogspot.com ) and click on design.

 Select one of the 'Add Gadget' Templates, don't worry if its not in the place you want it to be, you can drag it around later, or even before you click 'Add Gadget' (if you want). Anyway this pop-up should pop-up. (How original are internet terms?)

The one you are looking for should come under 'Basics' its the HTML/JavaScript thing.

 When you click on it, this pop-up will appear:

Paste what you copied into the 'content' section, title the shelf however you like.

Hit save, you should return to the design page. Save all design changes you have made to your blog and view it. 

So anyway, check out the blog:  bookstomovies.blogspot.com

My Bookshelf Widget

*Update - just here before the original post* I have removed my bookshelf widget for this hunger games one. I cant get it back! wanted to put it down the bottom...

How are you doing. I'm going to go ahead and guess that you are absolutely fabulous ! oh my gosh have you ever seen the show absolutely fabulous ..its great....

Its a great show. Thats there theme song by the way. Do yourself a favor and look it up on youtube. I shall guarantee you that if you can somehow relate to two best friends one who is a serial girlfriend (or cougar?) and the other going through some kind of midlife crisis and they both enjoy shopping a lot and drinking a lot of wine. Actually thats pretty much all they do (drink wine, I swear the blonde one has a permanent stagger) - boy those actresses must have had some fun, do you see how many bottles they go through every season ?.

Anyway my point here wasn't to tell you about that. It was about my new widget, a new addition to the blog, go through the link by clicking on it and you can see allllllllllll of the books I've read. I like reading a lot do you know. I am also trying to put myself on as many internet platforms as possible (excluding youtube and myspace) I have twitter, don't bother trying to look for me. Despite being (as far as I know) the only person on the internet with my name (my full name mind you) google still doesn't know I exist, or at least I don't get enough hits to be formally recognized by the internet world.  I guess that is a win win. I can stalk celebrities and still no one can stalk me ! Wierd huh ?

So far I am on Yahoo, Twitter, Facebook (where I am not known as an internet freak and random blogger but just as my real life self, pretty boring to be honest) Blogger.com um ...... I've done runescape (I'm pretty sure thats what it was called ?) Neopets, Moshimonsters, I plan to be a notorious ebay bargain hunter.......songza.com "see what isobel --beep-- is listening to" also I am now on Shelfari like a library nerds version of Safari (where my new widget is from) Check out my book shelf photographs they are pretty sweet. I'm on neighboursfans.com (for those who are not aware that is NOT a website where you stalk your neighbours, its a TV show)
